Some thoughts on BF3

I've been playing alot of Battlefield 3 lately, and it's a fine piece of game, it is! [caption id="attachment_1621" align="alignright" width="320" caption="Our wonderful platoon, logo can't be faulted!"][/caption] I also quite like the Battlelog front-end. For one, it works, which is more than you can say about BF2's server browser. Another really neat feature is that you can continue to browse/IM/whatever while you waiting in line to get in on the server. It even starts to load the level minimized, so it only pops up and take over focus once it's actually ready to play. I hope this will be the future of multiplayer frontends for PC because it's pretty dandy. One thing that sucks is that you can't chat with your Battlelog friends while in-game. There's the Origin layer you could communicate through, but they don't sync friends across the two services. Sucks. Also Origin itself isn't very good - the layer is not very snappy, and worst of all, the service often disconnects you for no reason. Or it is just down all-together, stopping you from playing for a day or so. Sucks. In fact, everything with Origin pretty much sucks. Another thing that bugs me is the loadout. Why can't I access it between matches? That way, I'd have something to do while waiting for the next round, and I wouldn't waste match time. Why can't I access the loadout from Battlelog, for the same reasons? Why can I ONLY access the loadout while in a match, wasting match time? Whyyyy? I have more, but that's just nit-picking. It seems BF3 gives you pretty much the same experience as BF2 did. A game that is too fun to miss out on, but riddled with surrounding problems that makes you want to chew off your own leg each time you play. Oh well. Back into the fray, I have a longest headshot record to beat.
