Give Whatever You Want!

Hey Gamer,

We have gotten a lot of mails about the deal “Give Whatever You Want”. It has come to our attention that the man behind the site has had a troublesome background, which we at Ludosity didn’t know about.

Ludosity is officially not supporting this site any more since all the trouble that it has caused, not just for us, but for you, the gamers that we love and create games for. We sincerely apologize for any trouble it may have caused you.

If you have bought the pack and didn’t receive a copy of Bob, please just let us know and we will sort everything out.

Thanks,

Daniel Kaplan, CEO

Ludosity Interactive

Seems to be working now 🙂

We are looking to sort the stuff out with the creators of the page, so until we know more please don’t use this service. We at Ludosity thought that if we could help charity in any way just like the Humble Indie Bundle did, we would happily support it but we did not have any intentions of making people angry or in any way disappointed. So please, dont use this service until it is working again.

If  you want to buy Bob for a small amount, check this out: http://www.givewhateveryouwant.com/

This is a experiment like Humble Indie Bundle but they will also have deals with other stuff, such as music. Anyhow, this is a test from our side and if you find the deal interesting, give it a shot 🙂

Well, I’ve brought this pack just now and recieved my download link, I sure hope the guy running this doesn’t just bail out and take the cash from the developers like some people seem to be thinking he will.

Hey Joe,
You are probably right about that. However we cant seem to get in contact with Jochen (as he has stated is having a wedding) or the “programmer” that is fixing the site.

I think you need to associate yourself with someone more reputable and proven (like wolfire) and ditch supporting this.

Hey,
I tried the service myself and got to a download link, although the site doesn’t seem to be 100% stable yet. I could download all of the games (one giant zip) and run them. So the pack itself is not suspicious in any way.

Try the Resender-button at the top right corner to get your download link (at least that is what the button says it is doing).

And I hope that the money indeed go to charity and the devs involved and not to a troll…

Hey Ludosity,

I love Bob, I got it before this deal, but you’re the only developer I can find commenting on the deal. I’ve paid, but my payment is listed as ‘unclaimed’ by paypal and I’m yet to receive any of the games…

I’d also suggest that other people considering the deal read this thread, where the organiser of givewhateveryouwant.com’s past activities are discussed and he provides some replies…

I don’t doubt ludosity had anything but the best intentions with this deal, but with the involvement of this fraudulent troll-er I can’t help but be concerned for my money…
